Changed my order to FDE on both engraved and black on the standard one. John with TN Arms does the engraving and says he can convert the image to gray-scale and get several different shades of color and FDE responds best.
Also told me since it is so light, it can be dyed with polymer dye.
I bet he has a ball playing with layers and polymers all day!
I wish I could get to Tennessee to see the process.
