Word on the street's has it, everything is 20% off. No returns or refunds. All sales final. Bill and I drove past there last Sunday, and there may have been a total of 3 vehicles in the parking lot.

I went in there for my obligatory/frequent looksee last weekend. No sale at that time and no inkling they are going out of business (few customers though) and like allways I did not buy anything...I'd like to hear if it's true though. If so, they did it to themselves. Looking at their FB page, industry page on other websites, and other forumns I follow - I'm not seeing any word of a closing.

Doubt it. I think they just opened a new retail store in Round Rock not too long ago.

Too much business. At least online. I wouldn't be shocked if one of their retails stores closed up. But I don't see the online business going away.

As always, just my $.02. I have no insider knowledge or anything.

I've heard they are going to online only. I know the one in Fort Worth got bought out already. It's still there just not Ctd.

What would they do with all their cool employees ? Who is going to violate my personal space wearing 5.11 pants now?

I thought the CTD store just changed their name to Fort Worth Gun?

They could mark stuff down 50% in the store, still wouldn't buy anything from them...

Probably because their last 2 years have been record years for them.

Bought a new gun there yesterday and got the 20% off. Saved $100. They didn't even ask if I had ever owned a gun before and I signed a document that said they went over operation of the gun, though they didn't..

Funny story, as I was paying for my gun, a guy was standing there and was buying a 22 of some sort and the guy behind the counter said "sir, I am not going to be able to give you your gun today." He asked, "why?" The guy said, "Because you answered one of the questions wrong." He asked, "Which question?" The guy handed him the form and he said, "Oh, ####, I said yes to use of illegal substances." I laughed right in his face and said, "Are you nutz?" no reply.

Correct, the name is leased.

Look for the McKinney store to be closed by sometime in June or July. Online sales will continue.

If anyone in the Metromess likes the stores, you can always go to Fort Worth Gun in east Fort Worth. Same folks that had the retail desk at the old CTD store in north Fort Worth, they just quit leasing the name.

Their prices are still high as all get out like they were over off Mark IV as well.

I went to the McKinney store today and it sure looks like they are going to close down. The pistol cases were less than half full compared to before and they didn't seem to be restocking them. I asked an employee and he said they hadn't been told anything about whether they were closing the store or not.

As much as I dislike them for jacking up prices during the scare, I gave in to temptation and bought a S&W M&P 340 for $610 as an upgrade from my 642. That's almost $100 less than I've seen anywhere online.

The employees probably have not been notified yet. Writing's on the wall, though.

I've bought a couple guns from the store when they were in mark iv for less than I could find online.

Maybe but on ammo, scopes or anything I bought from that location I could get it cheaper from the "on line" counter than the same item in the store part. Weird how that was set up. Don't buy from them at all now though. But that's a personal choice.

Would love to see them go completely belly up!!! I have never hated a business as much as I hate them.

More than Bloomberg's cult? More than PETA? More than The Brady bunch? Someone profits in those, so I'm lumping them in with "businesses".

Guess they know now. I drove past McKinney store an 2 hours ago heading to lowes. The doors and windows were covered with paper to keep from seeing inside and a for lease/sale sign in window

The last time I stopped in the McKinney store I saw a brick of 22s for $119.99

I suppose they could have been magical bullets but I didn't ask.

Serves em right.

Be great if an individual would put in a quality shop that stocks loading supplies.
