X2 with NDN98 in the hunts I have been on that was a blind typically the distance was 50-100 yards.
I did have the Ranger at Mineral Wells ask how far out was I comfortable shooting, I told him I brought 2 rifles 1 zeroed at 100 (.50 Beowulf) and one zeroed at 200 (6.5 Grendel) So he put me on the largest pasture. (Yes I was 100% 2 for 2) And got to assist when another hunter made a bad shot and we got in some serious tracking. We did recover her deer later that night.
I have met some Great people during these hunts.

+1 on Boonee's post.
At the old no longer Hunted Walter Buck WMA up in the hills behind SLRSP I had 150+ yards in front of me & took my 1st axis at 80-90 yards off to my right side in '99. I'd never seen one before and wasted the chance to take a half dozen.
At James Daughtrey on the South Shore of Choke Canyon I had 3-400 yards in front & down one side, and took a hog at 40 yards on the way out back to the truck. spend an hour + watching a monster 10 pointer cavort with his harem during a Javy & Hog Hunt.
At GRSP it was a tight mebbe 50 yards shot the way the blind was facing and took a WTail doe at 55 yards shooting thru a cedar bush that "someone" had trimmed a 4" hole in after watching 6 WTails stop behind it 1st day and turn right instead of left at the cross trail one year & a BlackBuck yearling nuther year at 156 steps that I had watched for 400+ yards before he wanted to get off the open swath of grass.
At Lake MW's I took a big 9-10" tall spike at 135 yards, and a doe at 60 yards outta the same blind 2nd and 3rd day...but had had a shot the 1st day @ 10 yards and again at 300+ yards on the same monster spike & never did get to pull the trigger on him...while JackWagon 2 blinds over repelled all the Chinese Bandits in Korea with his scope flopping around on top of his trusty thuttythutty like a dead fish with a box + of ammo down the tube...I moved blinds for Day 2 & 3 that had tagged out on Day 1.
yadda yadda it's all over the board...but I'd be prepared for 50 to 250+ yards shots unless you are shooting a shotgun only HUNT...and always bring 2 shooters.

DT You could do that and never have a problem, I did it for years, until I had a problem that could not be fixed on the trip, and no back up rifle in the truck that was already zeroed and ready to go. So I've always taken 2 rifles anyhwere I could have access to a back up gun waiting, for the last 30+ years, and was when I went with a 270 & 300WMg for under 300 yards and over 300 yards situations, wearing appropriate glass zeroed for those distances, regardless of anything else I owned.

These days the one or the other of the shooters is always a wood/blue and the other is a weatherproof gun ...and one of them is a shorter barrel than the other one as well, then eventually I'll finally get down to using just one caliber for everything too.

D.T. I carry a back up rifle/pistol to my own lease which is only 55 miles away from home.
But that is just me. As well as ammo, hunting with "odd" calibers for years will break you of not having ammo with the rifle or pistol.

Thank you for all the replies. Just in case if I get drawn for any of the hunts I applied, I've been practicing shooting at 100 yd distance (Savage 10 FCP HS Precision 308 with Leupold VX-3 4.5-14x50 Scope) and all the shots have been 1" or a tad less. I moved out to 200 yd this passed weekend and the shot group immediately went to crap frown They're still inside a 9" paper plate but just all over the damn place... I don't think I have a bad setup for a beginner so it has to be me... frown
