Was reported we had 5.54 inches in southern Duval.

That puts us at average rainfall for the whole year as of today.

I had a good slow rain with 1.79" here at my house in Western Goliad County. Talked with my cousin yesterday evening around 6 and he had already gotten 2.5" in the Atascosa, Karnes and Live Oak corner. More after that. Spoke with a friend in Brady later last night and he only got .60" out of all this so far. Going to check my other gauge on the north end to see what it shows.

Not much in the immediate area that will get into the river above the lake, seems like most of the good rains were south and north/east of the lake. Atascosa and Nueces Rivers seem to have gotten more rain than the Frio did in that area. Some pockets had really good rains though. I am sure this will help Mathis Lake out.

Had 1.98" on the north end of my place. Pockets around the area look to have only had 1/2" out of this so far but still have a great chance thru Thursday as of today.

Choke levels did rise a bit from the rains in March and April though. More rain is building down South West of me right now.

Ya'll be careful with all that prayin for rain stuff...end of january Texoma was at 608-609 and I could & did walk around on dry ground behind my boathouse. As of this morning the lake level is 626+ and getting 1.1 MILLION Gallons A SECOND in runoff...'n all this in just the last 30-45 days. Local weather guy calling for 630+ lake levels by Friday + the runoff from the 3-4 day rain system coming in tonite. Feast or Famine is more like Gluttony or Famine.

Wonder how that guy from Del Rio won the FLW tour event here weekend before last...

Let it rain and I will never talk bad about any rain. With rain it seems to be either chicken or feathers, been way to many years of feathers for me. Flooding is a different ball game.

I wont turn the rain away. I bet we have a deer blind and two feeders that are standing in water about 2 feet deep due to a pond that is way overflowed.

That is why I don't have water front property or land with a creek/river frontage. Water front property will sooner or later be under-water front property with these Texas rainfall patterns. I hate fixing fences or water gaps after a flood, so I specifically looked for land that fit what I wanted.

Even we finally got a rain the last three days. 3.6" so far and hopefully more this week. The last month when DFW would get 3 or 4 inches we were getting 1 to 3 tenths each rain it seems. bang

It has been a great 7 months of rainfall for this area around me. I have had over 21" since Jan. Very timely rains also and now should grow some grass. Browse and forbes are doing well know again. Food plots should take a jump and withstand the grazing pressure a bit better. Just hope it continues for several years.

We have had a similar amount of rain as you ranchman, right around 20 inches give or take a little. Our grass hasn't recovered completely yet though.

Glad for the rain! I also use this neat map to zoom in and look at the rainfall totals around the state. Youcan look at couple hours total or six months worth, works great!

I have plum wore out that website the past few weeks. Can't wait to see if our pond is filled up. Would need to rise about 12 feet. We have had 13 inches in the last 30 days so hopefully springs are getting recharged. One of my buddies still calls the gas stations in town for rainfall reports even though I have given him that link for a few years. hammer

The link that I use to deturmin rain fall on my property is www.farmlogs.com you can map out your property and it will tell you how much has fallen there, not in town a few miles away. It's free also.

I'm not sure what our total is for 2015 in southern Live Oak County, but it has to be over 20 inches. Two nights ago our rain gauges overflowed, so that's at least 6 inches of rain in just one night. I haven't heard what we got last night and this morning yet. We have a pasture that borders the north end of Lake CC and we have water in our cove and under our pier for the first time in over a year. Lake CC is at 77%, but should be rising some more. Of course "they" will start letting water out soon...
