Going to change leases and fill feeders. Where is the best price on corn from a triangle of: Ft Worth- Hamilton-Cisco?

I guess nobody's filling their feeders lately. I usually stop at Tractor Supply in Eastland. The other guys got theirs mostly at Brookshires in Cisco, they'll have a deal soon...buy so many and get one bag free.I have picked some up at the Wallmart in Eastland too when I was shopping for other stuff. There's also a feed store in Cisco the landowner suggested, but I havent been in there yet.

Brown Feed Store in Lampasas is at $5.40 / 50 lb bag as of last weekend. That's a little ways outside your triangle but possibly might be worth the trip depending on how many pounds you are looking for.

If you are anywhere near a Brookshires distribution center check with them. I found out that the one in Lufkin keeps corn all the time and runs in the neighborhood of $260/pallet (fifty 40 lb. bags). You have to pay cash and take a pallet at a time but it is reasonably priced during the off season.

I paid $6.95 per 50 in Kenedy two weeks ago. Will definitely be shopping around before we go down Memorial Day weekend!!

J&L in Cross Plains always does us right, but we buy 1-2 pallets at a time.

The stuff at Buckee's is. I paid $5.40 per 50lb sack in Temple on Saturday. Worth the extra few miles out of the way to the lease.
