Sounds very similar to my son. He started in early high school wanting be in law enforcement - did explorers, rode out, etc. Got the criminal justice degree and has been an LEO/Deputy Sheriff in our county now for 7-8 years. He loves it - just got promoted to Sargent. The first year or two his Mom and I worried a lot about his safety but we came to realize how well trained these guys are. I ride out with him at times and it gives you a whole new respect for what these folks do day in and day out. Congratulations to your son and to you for raising a fine young man who wants to serve

I believe my son works for the same dept. yours does. My son is a Sargent there. It took him a few years to find what he wanted to do. He loves his job.

Congrats to him. Just hope this country gets things turned around with their feelings on law enforcement. Luckily we are from the great state of Texas and haven't had to experience most of those problems yet.
