I recently lost a 20 year family ranch. we are new to the lease thing and have prospects on 2 leases Graham Texas and Breckenridge Texas. One is twice the cost per gun, Graham Texas. 3K per gun. does this sound reasonable as well given the choice which area would you recommend I have a son that is a die hard deer hunter so I am looking to put him on good deer. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Jnoe, leases in that area tend to be on the more expensive side due to proximity to metromess. If me, I'd lean more to the west and south in Breckenridge. I hunt in SW Young county and have seen some good deer out towards Breckenridge over the years. Good luck to you.

I would have to know the specifics of each lease, for me to comment. How many acres? Hunters? Lodging? Food plots? Other details like how many deer, guests, feeding history, etc should be considered.

I would have to agree with DQ and look at Breckenridge area for better quality deer and better prices. rifle

No I would not pay that for AR/high pressure county.
