Just a heads up. The HEB in Granbury has Briskets for $1.77lb and pork butts $1.00lb. First time I have seen normal prices on brisket in a while. I think it is only at this HEB as they are have a price war with the new Kroger that opened across the street.

I started to buy one wednesday but put it back and got 2 pork butts. The briskets are huge and fatty.Even at 1.77 they were close to 30.00 bucks. Its not that good of a deal when they put them on sale and then stock a brisket that has more fat left on at the packer than they normally stock. It is kind of like bait and switch.

dang! I haven't seen packers that low in our area for several years! Fatty or not! We are locked in with HEB in Georgetown, no other major grocery close by other than Walmart and I haven't seen them have a sale on brisket either.
