I still have all my decoys hanging from the carabiners and tucked away for the year. There rigged Tx style. Have any of yall ever seen where the snap cuts thru the plastic/rubber over time? My decoys are Avian X. I looked at them and there is a small indentation where the snap is cutting into them but its not bad now. Will this get worse if I leave them hanging?

They'll be fine.

I usually leave mine hanging until I get a warm weekend with nothing else to do. I like to wash each one with a soft bristle brush and soapy water. I also break out the repair paint and do a little touch up at this time. When all dry, I put them in my decoy bags and store them. I also take out all my laydown blinds and clean/dry them as well. I keep the boxes for them and store them inside. Mojo's, dog box and water fowl clothing is next. Last item is my gun, I give it a very thorough cleaning (I do normal cleanings throughout the season).

A lot of the newer Avian X decoys have individual bags for storage. If you have them, I would take the Tx rig off the decoys and store the decoys in the bags during the off season. I do this with my Avian X turkey decoys for sure.

That sounds like a bunch of trouble

I like to start off with a warm soapy bath and dry them off with a microfiber terry cloth. Let them dry for 6 hours then hit them with some Duplicolor factory match touch up paint and Meguier's clear coat polish. All that's left is to tip the guy a little extra to clean the rims and then they're ready to be put up for summer.

I take mine in to the day spa. They get pampered from beak to bottom.

I buy new decoys every September and donate the old ones to the homeless

They claim they would rather have soup but I know from experience that getting decoys is way better than getting soup

I use to buy new decoys each year as well...that is until I shelled out the bucks for the Avian-X. Not 100% sure if they help me kill any more ducks, but they sure look purty!!! To be honest, I have never had geese decoy any better than since I got the Avian-X.

I don't replace my decoys every year. I was being facetious.

I hang mine on a fence, hit them with a power washer and hang them in the barn but the d rings. If your material is wearing thin from hanging a decoy, you used the wrong material. At the risk of being called a know it all Smart a$$ I will say this one more time. Ace and only Ace hardware weedeater string. .095 or .105 thickness is the best I have ever found. I am not a fan of 400 lbs mono. It is tough enough but it kinks up too bad.
