Who makes the most bang for your buck on protein feeders? Who do you guys use? I want one that at least holds 600lbs, I would prefer 1000. I'm thinking about building my own but figured no better place than to ask you guys lol... Thanks guys

We have several of these. The main advantage for us is that the LP model can be filled from the bed of the pickup.

Check out the BossBuck line of feeders. Most water resistant feeders on the market, imo.

I've owned or own the 600lb boss buck, the 2000lb all seasons protein evo, and the 2000lb big horn. The pic above is a big horn not sure if they are the same company as crossfire they look similar. Like the boss buck but I did not like filling them every two weeks. I like the big horn but you have to make sure you clean the feed ports out after rain. Just put the all season out. Always heard the outback feeders are the best you can buy but you pay for them.

Crossfire is the same as Big Horn. Interesting situation. The owners divorced a couple of years ago. Basically, the feeder business was her operation. My understanding is that he got to keep the name but she moved to another building....along with the employees. Same feeder, same distributors, etc.

The "new design" All Seasons Protein Evos are pretty solid, and good bang for the buck. I like the design of the feed head, and you can order it with skids for a bit more.

I build protein feeders up to ~600lb, but for anything larger than that I go with one of those.

Set two Crossfire feeders this week. As you can see, they are identical to the original Big Horns except for the logo.

Contact Harvey at Atlas Hunting Products. Top notch fellow and he will build you whatever you want at a very reasonable rate. His stuff is built to last for a lifetime. I think his number is 817-879-0998

I have the 2k lb All Seasons. Good feeder, some rain protection but after a rain with driving wind it needs to be cleaned out. It is a bit of a PITA to fill. I've have it 5 yrs with no problems though.

we have a 2000lbs or maybe larger all-seasons that we picked up used. been a good feeder. although when you fill it all the way up...seems like the weight of the feed above powders some of the feed on the bottom maybe causes some waste. and it does get wet and need cleaning in a driving rain. otherwise its been good.

Have had four Outback 2,000# Magnums for going on six years now. We have had zero problems with them, other than touch up painting, they work like new.

The bigger tube ends reduce animal's faces and antlers from rubbing on feeder, very good rain protection, as well.
