I have a couple Rem 700 7-08s and looking to play with some load development. Plan on shooting the 140 nosler accubonds. I also have some 139 hornady gmx bullets, and some 150 barnes ttsx. Looking to see what loads folks are using with these bullets. Thanks.

Good info. One of the rifles is a HCR harvester and it shoots factory 139 SST sub MOA but I was just gonna tinker with it to see what I could make it do. The other I bought from an individual who had played around with it using about 40 grains of RL-17. Is RL17 similar to Varget? I have some Varget that I was gonna try as I have the resources and the time.

Reloder 17 is closer to H4350 but should work fine

RL17 seems to give great velocity but it's very hit or miss when you talk to people about temp sensitivity. Varget on the other hand is one of the gold standards for temp stability and works great in the 7mm08.

My best load is 42 grains of IMR 4064, Nosler Ballistic hunting tip 140 grain st .020 off of the ring lands. This is with a barrel twist of 1 in 11 in my deer gun. About 1/4 MOA.

Thanks. I mistyped in my previous post. He was using RL-15. Any opinions on the 15 vs Varget? Thanks again.

My 7-08 loves 140 TSX's with 47 gr of H-380. Consistently less than 1/2 inch groups.

15 isn't as temp stable but still a good powder.

Change one, or both, of those and a whole new set of harmonics happens.
