Hello all,

New member here trying to learn all I can about Texas hunting and fishing, we will be moving to the Tyler area in June. I mostly waterfowl hunt but do deer and turkey hunt sometimes too. Any info on Tyler area waterfowling would be great!
Thanks!

Welcome!!! Don't mention the name of any lake!!

Welcome

Good news is the area you're moving to has gotten enough rain that most lakes are back to full pool

The bad news is most land in Texas is privately held, so public hunting can be packed. Which is why naming a lake or asking someone to name a lake that's holding plenty of birds can send some over the edge.

Sniper John made a thread and has it pinned to the top of this area of the forum.

I'm pretty new to the forum too. Good luck this upcoming season. Tyler is a nice area for hunting and living too.. Talk to the local farmers, you'd be surprised how far some respect and an offer to help them out for a weekend will go, that has gotten me many places to hunt.

I'm from Bellevue, Iowa on the banks of Mississippi River Pool 13. We don't mention names of lakes here either.
