In 2013 i believe I traded a member of the THF a 44 super red hawk for a glock model 27 .40 cal. We met in canton texas at whataburger. I cant remember his name or his handle on here. The post is old so it has been deleted. Anyhow my computer that had the serial number of the glock and all my other guns died a few weeks ago. Last night in frisco the gun was stolen out of my truck. If it was you that I traded with I need to talk to you and see if you still have the serial number or the receipt since I wasnt smart enough to record the number somewhere safe. I know how stupid that was so please keep your flaming or "how stupid are you" comments to a minimum. Please help. If you run up on a G27 loaded with 10 rds of hollow points in a black uncle mikes holster dont buy it. Call me and the cops. 806 474 5313
Thanks yall
Jon

Sorry to hear this. I've seen a # of computer geek's bring life back to unit's, when we thought they were dead. Worth a shot, and a chance for you to recover the s/n

Best of luck.

If you still have the old cpu the info will still be on the hard drive, extract the data or have it duplicated.

Do you happen to remember where they came from? I know there are a lot of people out this way but may get in the right direction

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting.......holy kaka.....What a Ride!

Two things I always do which you may consider in the future:

- back up your CU on an external hard drive

- use a third party backup service

First, good luck! Along with the above, every time I add a new gun to the stable, I update my list, print a copy and place it in the safe. Always have an updated list of information if computer crashes. Again, best of luck!

I always store my gun boxes in the garage so I have serial # in second place and also email to myself.

Thank you to everyone for the positive replies. Unfortunately I gave the cpu to a friend who said he could retrieve all the info and he pretty well destroyed my chances of that. Pretty stupid move to leave my piece in my truck and even worse to not have the #on physical paper. I did post it on here and I found the original post under "my stuff" but when I click to open it it redirects me to the main sales forum so I assumed it was deleted. If there's a way to revive that thread it would help me narrow it down possibly.

Unless you removed yourself from the topic, the PM should still be there.

Was it anyone of the guys that posted on your ad?
