Last I checked on alliant's website. 180gr FMJ 40sw called for 6.7grs. It is very hot and could cause problems. In an email regarding solid lead bullets, alliant sent me an email stated that max load for 180gr 40sw is 5.5gr either lead or jacketed. Just double check your loads if using them I moved to 5.3gr my gun likes it fine so far. When I finish off the bottle I will be moving to Titegroup.

I load 5.8grs Unique for 175gr lead cast bullet. Have shot thousands with no problem.
