I am an AR rookie and wonder if this AR is a good deal for $600. The complete upper is an unfired Spikes Tactical listed below and the lower is a Ruger 556 with 300 rounds fired. It also has this aresarmor Nitride BCG. I have heard great things about Spikes for a budget AR. Any issues or concerns with a Ruger lower? I was checking to see if this was a good deal for $600? I was curious if the Spikes and Ruger combo would have any issues?

Sounds like a decent price. All good components, nothing high end but everything there will make a great all around AR. I'd buy it for $600

Sounds like a good combo. The ruger 556 is a great rifle for the money and spikes makes decent stuff. At $600, I think it's a deal. What kind of furniture? Quad rail? Moe?
Regardless, sounds like a deal

CDNN has Colt 6920 for sale this weekend for $799; if you want an AR, it's a deal that's pretty hard to beat.

If you plan to keep the Frankenrifle, it's not a bad deal. Personally I'd spend the extra and get this Colt.

Spend that same $600 on a PSA LR308. They have uppers and lowers for sale now totaling $600.

Looks like there is a ton of deals out there. If you have the money, the colt looks awesome. The .308 looks like a steal too, especially if you can build the whole rifle fire $600 but that almost sounds to good to be true. Just a good trigger and hand guard can cost $600

I'd take that Colt for $799 before the one you listed for $600, but neither is a bad deal.

Here is the deal for the 308.

PSA Complete Lower $199
PSA Complete Upper with BCG and MOE handguard $369

Total $568 plus whatever your FFL charges to do a transfer.
