Does anyone do it? I got a nice, tender jake this morning and am just wondering if anyone frys them? He's skinned, so frying may not tube the best route. Any guidance? If not fried, what's your favorite way to cook them?
Thanks

If you have the smoker you could beer can him. If anything would make him tender that would.

Filet the breasts ; brine overnight; then season (one with black pepper, other cayenne); wrap each with bacon - loosely (toothpicks to hold); smoke on smoker 2 hours, then wrap in foil and cook up to another hour or so (till inner temp reaches 165).
Way tastier & tender (and easier) than frying the whole bird! Two flavors, each great! Its' Soooo good I now do this often with store-bought frozen whole turkey breast(only).

Pound chunks of breast meat into 1/4 inch cutlets, egg wash, roll in breadcrumb and parmesan mix. Pan fry in olive oil.
Eat as is or make Turkey Parmesan with pasta and sauce.

There is no such thing as a tender one, they come out of the shell tuff. That's why you pound it thin before frying. If you pound the crap out of it it'll come out nice and tender.

Well, you got lucky; I've never had a problem with a jake, they are tender. But, an old Tom--is very tough.
