First time in five years I didn't get something. I switched to muzzle loader and archery so I could get drawn. Now I'm back to not getting drawn again.
Oh well.... Still have the lease in Texas.

It was his guide that talked him down, they had been chasing a much bigger bull.
Any way I drew ZERO.
I figured that would get you going. I didn't put in this year. The bulls I passed weren't 350. I did have a 350ish in close, but could never get a clear shot at vitals. I passed up countless 275-300's. Hard to shoot one when you've had a 350 close and seen a 400. However, a cow might be in big trouble on my next bow hunt. Time makes the close ones smaller Bright side I have an awful big credit card from NM I no longer have to pay....

First time to put in for draw. Unit 30 first rifle season mule deer. Now to get serious to get in shape. Plan on back packing off the roads hoping the road hunters push the deer to me? It is at least a plan.

Oh well.... Still have the lease in Texas. 5 straight years, straight archery almost every species....zero draw but I'm using just putting in for lotto units For residents it is hard enough to get drawn. Out of state is extremely difficult. IIRC only 10 percent of the tags go to out of staters. Archery is your best bet.

I really wanted an elk tag. However, I did draw an Oryx once in a lifetime hunt on the Stallion Range. That'll have to do

This was my first time applying for Oryx. I know, I know, I'm THAT guy. I've been applying for deer, elk, aoudad, and antelope for 6 years and only drew an aoudad tag up until now.

Man I'm not going to lie im sweating the farm this year...every thunderstorm every cold front etc. Wheat crop has frosted out last three years. Corn crop was mininmal and on top of that 1960 corn prices. Glad I don't depend on it. Only thing I think I have left draw wise is Okla elk and antelope, and BH and Moose in CO

I am kind of surprised about the corn prices though, I don't see the cheap price reflected in consumer goods. You doing elk in CO aren't you?

No soap for me on BH sheep. I was shocked.
