reports than some have escaped game ranches, reported sightings @ Chaparral WMA, curious to see if they proliferate like feral hogs

Definitely some at Chap according to the GW's when I was there last November, not sure how they are proliferating though. I couldn't get one to hold still long enough to try.

Well they don't have as large litters as ferals do usually no more than two or three at a time awesome animal to hunt.

You have it backwards. They are different genus of the same family. They are both in the family Suidae

I stand corrected! There have been some cross breeding surprises but chances really go down outside of the same genus. When checking on relationships I like to use The Ultimate Ungulate
