'Thought I'd ask the dog experts on here. We're probably going to put up a fence soon to cordon off part of the yard and move our two dogs in there when we have company or are gone for a short while. We won't use it all the time, but want to have a couple of dog houses in there. Are there any ready-made houses that you can close off when not in use to keep the critters out?

Plastic crates should work.

I guess you could get a Dogloo door and trace it onto a 1/4" piece of plywood, cut and install to cap it. It won't keep out all critters though.
Cast I have a short attention spa

Get a German Short Hair. Any critter that gets in the yard is toast. My yard the score is Opossums 0 squirrels 0 GSP 6
There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

K-9 Kondo is the only way to go for outdoor kennels. I use the model that utilizes a 55 gallon plastic barrel.
