I'm ready. I've been pretty disappointed in the public land the last couple years. Not many birds and way to many guns. I think this season I may try a day hunt or two somewhere.

I have my dove hunting skills honed to a fine sharp edge. My wife and I get on the ranger and drive about 4 miles to our tank we reserve for us. It has a sand flat at one end. We set up two really comfortable lawn chairs. @ yards away we put the most ridiculous dove tower you have ever seen. In between us we put a cooler full of Dos Equis, a cut lime and a church key. We shoot the whiz out of doves and enjoy being together and enjoy being alive. I let her shoot them off the tower as long as they don't land next to the mojo. I wear a camo tshirt, khaki shorts and my prescription costas. Even in Freer, Texas you find me wearing my crocs sporting the white knee high socks. I aint a fashion statement, I am me.

Dos Equis and Freer, Texas isn't an event, it is a way of life. We don't even get out of the lodge until the sun gets low in the west.
