Drove to The Silencer Shop in Austin today. Those boys had my paperwork done and trust set up under 10 minutes. Great customer service and very knowledgeable. Getting a Silencerco Saker 762. Hopefully it'll be here in 90 days give or take a few.

I hope mine only takes 90 days. I ordered a thunder beast 30p1 from them and you are right it is pretty painless other than the waiting

I used silencer shop also and they were great. The video I posted does not do it justice. You do not need hearing protection when shooting a 338 lapua. I also put it on my DPMS 243 and it was incredible.

Make sure you have your rifle/rifles threaded to silencerco's thread specs as they use class 3 threading which has tighter tolerances and will make it a royal pain to attach.

5/8 x 24 thread. Pretty common

Yes, it may be 5/8x24 but what class of threading. IE Class 1, 2, or 3. Here is the difference between each. A classification system exists for ease of manufacture and interchangeability of fabricated threaded items. Most (but certainly not all) threaded items are made to a classification standard called the Unified Screw Thread Standard Series. This system is analogous to the fits used with assembled parts.
Classes 1A, 2A, 3A apply to external threads; Classes 1B, 2B, 3B apply to internal threads.
Class 1 threads are loosely fitting threads intended for ease of assembly or use in a dirty environment.
Class 2 threads are the most common. They are designed to maximize strength considering typical machine shop capability and machine practice.
Class 3 threads are used for closer tolerances.
Thread class refers to the acceptable range of pitch diameter for any given thread. The pitch diameter is indicated as Dp in the figure shown above. There are several methods that are used to measure the pitch diameter

Silencerco threads everything using Class 3 Threading. So while its 5/8x24 meaning the threads are 5/8 of a in wide with 24 threads per linier inch of threading, the thread pitch and tolerances are different from the other classes.

I'm on the waiting list as too. I found a Gem Tech HVT QD model on sale for $475.00, so I couldn't pass on that price. I hope mine is back in 90 days as well.

Thank you for the tutorial in thread differences. I'll be sure to get the specs before I have my barrels threaded

Not to gloat but my Griffin .338 PH just got stamped. Oh I think your gloating is quite intentional. I'm one week into the waiting game and my patience is already wearing thin.
