This one is a little unique. This is a newer Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 7mm-08 w/the pre-'64 style extractor. It has been cut down to 18" and threaded. I wanted to have a lightweight rifle with the thin barrel, but still be able to use my suppressor. We had to cut it down to 18" to have enough "barrel meat" to thread it. All work was done by custom rifle builders Hill Country Rifles in New Braunfels. threads are 5/8 x 24.
Only cosmetic flaw is the scuffs on the underside of the stock under the sling mount. It was from the sling's buttons rubbing against it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's killed plenty of hogs and deer. I just find myself always taking out my 6.8 AR over the Model 70. Would like to see it go to a good home.
I've put about 150 suppressed rounds through it with no problems and it is a sub-moa shooter (see target). The brake on the end is a Silencerco Specwar 7.62 mount that can be used with the Specwar, Harvester, and Omega suppressors. It's also an excellent brake without the suppressor. It makes the already mild recoil of the 7mm-08 almost unnoticeable. If you wont use that brake, I'll remove it and knock off $40 from the price. If you don't want the scope and rings, Vortex Viper 2-9X40 (no bdc) drop $150 from the price.
FTF transaction only. Must be able to legally own the rifle. Must show TXDL and/or Texas CHL. Willing to drive a bit for the right deal.
Price for rifle as shown: $900 OBO
