ChadTRG42 sells reloads on here but I don't know if he does the 257 Roberts. Only other option is ordering online.

I hear you. My favorite caliber is the 257 rob.
I just got into reloading mainly for it. I was kindly offered some brass from members on this site (fireman JG and trapperben. Good luck

agree no Bob ammo for the masses: I have a Long Action m70 featherweight I bought back in the late 80's when Win. did a special run. Actually we bought 3 w/consecutive sn# for the 3 amigos(hunting buddy's). It will not shoot the regular .257 ammo very well. Bullet's C.O.L. is too short for the long action.
The only commercial Ammo it shoots well was the Hornady Light Magnum( no longer produced) Will be trying the Hornady Superperformance SST , but at this point in time none seems to be had anywhere on the net. So back to reloading for it or as someone suggested contact Chad and see if he will reload for BOB.

WOW.....

You guys aren't kidding, thought I would find some online and NOTHING is in stock for .257Roberts

The only thing I found was on gunbroker.com and it was 3 old boxes of .257Roberts 100gr silvertips and they were already over $35 a box.

You will have to reload for that cartridge.

Midway last year allowed you to backorder. I ordered 4- boxes in the spring and finally got them last fall. I also found some older winchester at a local gunstore I bought. I checked what I have and have enough of the federal np to last the rest of my life considering recent hunting opportunities. So if you would be interested in some winchester and hornady give me a pm and we can discuss. Not going to try to make money on them but need to cover what I have in them plus shipping.
Thanks
Ben

Thanks for the reference, guys! I looked and made a few calls, and I can not find any 257 Roberts brass. But.... I can find a lot of 7x57 Mauser brass to neck it down to 257 Roberts. It's a simple process running the 7x57 brass through a 257 Roberts sizing die. I can get Norma, Nosler, and Prvi brass. I'd recommend the Norma brass for the higher quality to neck it down from.

If you would like some pricing and availability, send me a PM here or email me "chad at dallasreloads dot com". Let me know what bullet you would like.

If you guys are local, you can bring the rifle to me and I can chamber check and seat the bullet to your chamber for better fitting. Just let me know!

Chad

Nosler makes a 100gr Ballistic Tip, a 115gr Ballistic Tip, and a 110gr Accubond. They do not offer a 110gr Ballistic Tip.

My custom 257 will absolutely not shoot anything in the 117 grain range. It really likes these, though.

The 7x57 Norma brass necked down to 257 Roberts works perfect!!!! It makes for really good 257 Roberts ammo.

Run a 100g Partion as hot as it will go and kill just about anything in Texas you want. I'm doing this in my 257 Imp.

I use a 100gr btsp in mine. I agree with a 100 partition works well.

Another vote for the 100 grain partition here. Back in '95 I shot the Fed Premium 120gr ammunition. Started loading the 110 Accubond but really liked the way the 100 gr partitions shoot out of my Ruger Ultralight.
