Went to the lease two weeks ago and while everyone else was chasing toms I focused on pigs. Sat at one of our feeders located right next to a spring, good call... sounder came in about an hour before sundown. I drew down on the biggest sow and head shot her at 180yds, she was DRT and my longest shot to date! When I got to her I found one of the piglets had been standing right behind her and also gotten caught! So my longest kill shot also turned out to be a two for one!

Spent some time just driving the lease and jumped another sounder. I hit a nice sow right before she crossed onto the neighbor's property. I also got a juvenile that got confused trying to get through the fence. I found lots of blood and bone from the sow and tracked her 300+yds onto the neighbors place (we know them and have an agreement). I finally decided to just let her lay. I was in some REALLY thick brush and there was no way I was going to get her out of there when I found her.

Its always been 1deer county here. 24-7-365 a year hog hunts got me on first lease. Been focusing on hogs here, people complaing. They opened up WMA just down road, best hog hunten found. It went ta 4 deer county few years back. As pappy once said: proof tis in de pudding. hogs de other wild game
