Joshua snapped a pic of an Eastern making a bee line across the back pasture. First one we have seen in a couple of years.

Very cool A.B. I saw some tracks near Gilmer once but have never seen a turkey in ET.

I've thought about going to see if any are wandering around an old timber tract my family has had for generations outside of San Augustine. If I call the neighbor and ask if he's seen any, I know, in typical deep east Texas fashion, that the answer will be "Oh, no, never," no matter what the truth is.

Good on you guys for keeping a sharp eye out.

I saw one up north of Wells a few years back...

They were brought in back in the 80's. Used to see them a lot, but not any in several years. Maybe the are making a come back.

There used to be a large flock in Cass County north east of Hughes Springs on a deer lease I was on then they just disappeared. Wish they were still there and and hope yours stays around.

You would think they would continue stocking until they can certify they are sustainable?

Wonderful!! Seen them twice on my place. One flock of 8-10 and one pair. Both times they were getting out of there fast.
