Last Saturday finally went turkey hunting with my nephew he's been trying to get me to go for years. I was just never that interested for one reason I can't hear that great 50% hearing loss in both ears so even with hearing aids they have to be fairly close before I start hearing them and able to pick out the turkey. Any other sounds birds, etc can drown out anything far away. Hearing aids don't replace natural hearing. Saturday morning called in two jakes within 5 yards of us passed on them. Saturday afternoon we got set up and Shane got a Tom called in and he put on a great show at the decoy finally I decided to take him after about 10 minutes. He had no spurs not even bumps and 7" beard the no spurs is apparently unusual. It was a lot of fun next year going again this time with bow wanted to get the first one with shotgun.

Congrats. Welcome to the addiction.
Take your kids hunting and you won't have to go hunting for your kids

Congrats. You don't need to hear them. I had 2 toms at 5 yards today before I saw them. They ran before I got a good shot... Need to see them!
