Obviously not specific about Permithrin but I've had great luck with Sawyer's products. In fact the "Travel Clinic" at the hospital dispenses their stuff in their travel kits if you're headed to a third world country. I've used the pump up sprayer for clothes, and the liquid that you apply directly. On the flip side, I've also had Permithrin products for livestock make my pet sick as hell. It's all in how you apply it and how much. I'm not too worried about it killing me, because someone texting and driving will take care of that long before asbestos, silica, or permithrin.

Bought this product from Cabela's a few days ago (located in camping section) and sprayed it on my hunting "outfit" and boots and it worked great. No skeeter bites or chiggers. Usually get bit by both - so far I'm a believer!

I've used the SAWYERS KIT for several years and highly recommend it. The cream is by far the best insect repellant available commercially. Last weekend we were in high weeds and brush in the woods south of Marshall. The other 3 guys with me were using their standard DEEP WOODS OFF and REPEL and were constantly barraged by the mosquitos, gnats, etc. I coated my neck, face and arms with SAWYERS and never had any type bug land on me! That is always the case when I use SAWYERS. Combine that with the permethrin on your clothes and you should be bug free!

It embedded into some army uniforms. I'm still alive. Don't know if it works well or not.

Get it and use it.
Chronic Lyme Disease has done much to ruin my life. At this point, I'm looking forward to death. But no matter what you use, check yourself after being out and if you find a bite, watch it closely. When in doubt go to the doc and take the antibiotics, it's not worth the risk.

I use it on my hunting clothes, spray deet on my skin and fire up the Thermacell when skeeters are in the area! I hate those stinkin Moe's!

I have used it for years with good success on the ticks and chiggers here in the Hill Country, especially in turkey season. I spray it on my clothes and boots and let it dry as instructions say then spray deet based repellent on skin. Luckily, ticks have not been as plentiful this year as in the past...at least in the Menard area. Adios, Gary

I've been using it on my pants for years and I don't have any mental issues.
