Regular rings or a mount of some sort? I can't break the bank on this, max would be 100-150. Can't afford Larue LT104 or something like that. Not sure if I care about QD or not.

up Thanks for your input! Anybody else care to weigh in on rings vs mount?

+1 on the PEPR.. I like to use the top ring half with the rail, good place to add a light, IR illuminator, etc...

Rings probably won't get the scope high enough. I use the PEPR.

I have http://www.nikonsportoptics.com/Nikon-Products/Mounts-and-Mounting-Rings/P-Series-Mount.html. I like the PEPR 1-piece design better but what I have works fine so no point in changing.

I use Swfa on mine and never had a issue with them. Solid and never failed and I'm hard on my stuff

X3 for the Nikon and PEPR. I have one of each and not a single problem with either.

If you think you will ever want to go with the night vision option I would save the extra money and go with a QD.

All of mine and several friends have the burris xtreme tactical extra high rings and they are perfect for us. Amazon and ebay have them for $47-48 shipped!
