My 6.5x47 liked varget better than h4350. I ran the hybrids at an easy 2650. Don't worry about the speeds. Find that perfect load, and run with it.

40.9 is your load.
Small vertically, and pretty darned good horizontally. ES of 15 Ave. MV 2736 fps
And on a brand spankin new barrel! Put 200 through it and reassess. Also, once you get to second loaded brass, it may get even better.

Also might be able to tighten them up with some seating depth adjustments. The table I was shooting from was kinda wobbly and I admit im not the best group shooter. So that could account for some of the spread.

LOL I forgot my bag of extra goodies for the stock at Tony's so I had no way to mount my bipod. The length of pull is a fairly short aswell. Which will change once I get my spacer kit form tony as well. Long story short I didn't make sure I had all my stuff before I left his house so I had to make do. But I hear ya.

I picked it Monday evening. I shot at a friends place today only 10 minutes away. But hey I will drive to your place and shoot with ya every chance I get. Just let me know when the offer is open. I can even buy lunch.

Yes, 8 looks good. My load with a 140 VLD in my 6.5x47 is running best at 2740 fps. It's also the same exact reamer Tony used on your rifle that he used on mine. So, the speed sweet spot doesn't surprise me. My charge was in the high 41 grains of H4350 though. Something else I noticed is a 2.800" is a long COAL for the x47 with this bullet, especially for a hybrid.
