I want a Seekins PRO-3GL but Seekins cant get one built, Noveske Infidel is $3,000. So, I want to build a high end 14.5" with pinned brake, 15" SLIM handgaurd full rail on top only, maybe 16"
two Musts, Light weight and very accurate. What are the:::
Best lower? Best Upper? Best Hand guard? Best barrel? Best trigger 1.5oz final stage Best Butt stock?
What else will I need to complete build? I've started a shopping cart at Brownells with the Seekins billet upper, billet lower and SRPO 15" hand guard,
Who should I get to put it all together? I really don't want to invest in all the tools to build. May end up buying the Daniel, Defense M4V11 Lightweight or build another bolt gun...

I really like the 14.5" Ballistic Advantage Hanson midlength barrel.

A friend turned me on to AR performance barrels and I think they are phenomenal. I know several people who have them on their rifles and never known of any issues.

Arp doesn't do a 14.5" barrel
I did a 13.7" pinned for my can

A lightweight DD with whatever hand-guard you want. Geissle trigger. Stocks preference, though I really like my VULTOR.

If you're buying, buy a JP. If not, buy a JP barrel.

Any number of manufacturers make good barrels. I use Rainier and White Oak Armament barrels and am getting .2 moa out of both. I think they're Shilen parts.

Am I mistaken that forged receivers are not only lighter but also stronger?

I pieced my two AR15s together using Noveske lowers and barrels. Both have Geissele triggers.
There really isn't a best.
Some good deals to be had on used rifles now if you look hard. LaRue Predatar would be on top of my list if I were in the market and change it up a bit to my liking.

Am I mistaken that forged receivers are not only lighter but also stronger? Don't know about stronger, billet are milled out of one piece of aluminum so I'd say that is stronger than the forged, but you're right the forged is lighter. Billet receivers are just sexy though. If you're ever planning on selling it, or if you might even think about selling it, buy a premade one resale value is probably twice what a "custom built" one goes for. If you're going to keep it forever build it exactly the way you want. Also Don't use brownells, there are sites out there like joeboboutfitters rainierarms and primaryarms that have way better prices with cheap or free shipping and no tax (except primaryarms).

$2,000 makes for a top notch custom project if you have the skills and know what products work and don't work when put together. Otherwise spend the money on a factory gun (JP Enterprise, Daniel Defense, LWRC, Noveske or Larue...(wait time could be long for Larue...good product from a company run by an eccentric).
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Theres pros and cons to both. I bought simply because of wait times on parts and because of the warranty aspect. You could build an awesome gun for $2k but you can also buy a gun that'll run just as good. Look at the DD torture test for example. Just depends on what very accurate is to you, .5 moa, 1 moa, etc.. I think any higher end AR will do what you want if you put quality optics and good trigger in it.

If something in the JP Rifle, 'Redi Rifle Program' or 'SemiCustom Program' suits you, they start at $2100. They say that, they can ship in 7-10 days, after reciept of payment and FFL. You might want to play around with the rifle builder app on their web site.
for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

Wilson Combat or JP. Worth the extra money. Unless your into the time required to build something in the same category. Warranty issues also a consideration when piecing this together.

In my opinion. Build the rifle around the barrel. I have done builds with barrels from Wilson, Rainier, White Oak, Ballistic Advantage, AR Performance, Adams Arms, (and many others in the budget category for others). Use quality parts and build exactly what you want. I would say that you could build it for 20-50% off complete price and have what you want. That said there is no perfect ar for everything so you need 4-10 rifles to cover it all.
