Hi,

Has anybody been out hog hunting to the 5G Ranch in Seguin?

Seems like a nice place just worried that they don't have any hogs there.

Thanks

I was thinking of checking the place until I saw a pretty negative review on CL. I believe the land is only like 10 acres and the reviewer did not see any hogs and did not see the feeders being stock.

Can't really vouch for the place or say the review was legit. But, if you happen to go please post your review! cheers bs

This place is very confusing, this place seems to exist at 3 places:

- CL ad and FB says it is Seguin (South west of Austin) (https://www.facebook.com/5GRanchSeguinTexas)
- another website says it is Caldwell (North East) (http://oldhamgoodwin.com/wp-content/uploads/5G-Ranch-Griffin-Brochure-Reduced.pdf)
- and another website says it is in almost in Dallas (http://5glandacc.com/)

If it is in Seguin then at least it is close to where I live, maybe I should take one for the team and check it out.

I know the owner of 5g Land and cattle 5Glandacc.com his ranch is right outside of Comanche. If he has any hogs its not by his choosing, last I heard he had gotten them all off.
Moster whitetail and blackbuck.

But he does have a low fence area that may have some hogs, to my knowledge he does not offer just hog hunts

5g Land is definitely not the same, I don't know for sure but I am about 99% sure it is not.

I went hunting this morning. No hogs this time, didn't see or hear any.

Some good things with the place:
- The guy seems to be serious and maintaining the place.
- Nice stands and feeders, feeders have a lights. (Wireless controlled from the stand!, Fancy!)
- Good price
- Offers morning or nights only hunts. (Great for us with busy schedules)
- Close to Austin and San Antonio

I will keep an eye on this place, I will go back if I get any indication about they have hogs.

So, was there any indication of hogs being around the place? How big is the "ranch"?

Went there couple days ago no hogs or signs of them but nice place to go seen deer, might see a bunch next time luck of the draw the 50 dollar fee for hog hunt is good, will go again no guarantee sometimes would like some hogs though , good sausage. you can go pay 400.00 dollars to doesent mean your going to get any no matter how abundant they are in texas pictures allways looks good
