The Hamon continues I love clay quenching, I know I'll be making a lot more. I have one more glued up and ready to be worked soon. Both are my model # 104's. This one has G-10 bolsters pinned with carbon fiber pins, the handle is mesquite stabilized with my stabilizer fluid that doesn't need any finish put on the wood. I sanded it down to 600 grit and buffed it out... it's smooth as glass and water resistant.

You as well. Things have been pretty busy up until about 2 weeks ago. Take care.

up Did a hamon on a Damascus blade once. I had mixed feelings on it but the customer who ordered it loved it.

I love the look of a hamon and have for years; there are some serious knife collectors that buy hamon knives only. I work on larger blades little at a time and sell most of those on Face Book. Knives like this little one I make and sell pretty fast; so I can keep my shop going. I also only water quench with my concoction of mixture that I've developed over the years I find that it defines the ashi line so much better than fast oils, water quenching is not for the faint of heart. So far I've never cracked or warped a knife using my method.
This is a pretty interesting article from Blade Magazine.

Very nice! That blade reminds me of a sports car, you know how they look fast just standing still. Well that looks sharp just sitting there. Excellent!
