What distance's would this scope be good for? It's a Bushnell 6-24x50 Elite Tactical 30mm Rifle Scope. Would be mounted on a Horizon built .308 with 24" barrel.

I'm a novice at best but I'd say the glass is clear enough for 1000 yards. If the glass is up to par that's enough magnification to stretch it further. If your looking to shoot tiny groups at 1000 look into some of the fixed high power target scopes. 30x, 42x etc.

If its the Mil/ Mil version, I have one like it. It will work farther than your bullet can maintain supersonic flight.

Even if it is the sfp mil/moa it can reach 1000 but takes some math to do it.
