Gday all,

I've been wondering, what is the average hunt length for hunts in Texas? I see quite often hunts that are over 1 or 2 days. I still would really love to hunt a mouflon one day but I wouldn't want it to be a rock up and shoot one so quick type thing. I more love the hunt than the shooting part to feel like I've earned it.

So I guess my question is, are there any hunts that go over a longer period for mouflon?

I've often thought about combining a hunt in texas with a DIY mule deer hunt in Wyoming or Montana in the same trip.

Cheers,

JP

Most exotic hunts are as long or short as you want to make them, depending on what you are after. If you are after a certain giant animal, you may have to look for a few days to find it. If you are looking for the first decent, representative animal you see, it could be a few hours.

Maybe you should consider an Aoudad hunt in West Texas, thats some big country and you will have earned it.

You can hunt mule deer in Texas too if you wanted to avoid state hopping. Not sure if there are any ranches with mouflon on them that have Mule deer though. Mule deer in Texas should be just as fun and challenging as one in Montana or Wyoming, they're not like the whitetail hunts where you sit over a feeder typically.

If you are going to hunt Wyoming or Montana - both awesome states to hunt, done both - you might look into adding pronghorn in Wyoming and/or elk in Montana and Wyoming.

If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today...
