Make sure that wood gets a good sealer on it. Hate to see the weather ruin such a nice piece of work.

It's all pressure treated. Was planning on sealing it. Any recommendations on a good sealer?

Looks great! May have to dry out some before it will take a sealer.

That's the kind of picnic table I like. The benches are not attached. Don't paint it. Treated wood doesn't take to paint. It will look great after weathering.

Lowes sells a better product than Thompson. They are basically a little wax in some water.

When it dries, I would use linseed oil.

That's just a pecan colored stain. Once the wood dries in the shed for about a month I'll seal it. I decided to only stain the tops.

I like your picnic table a lot.

Can you share how to build, such as dimensions, diagrams, etc?

Thanks.

I'd love to if I had the ability!!! the tables 8' long as well as the two long benches... Its about 38 or 39 inches wide. The end benches are 30" wide. The idea as far as the build itself came out of that empty 5 inches between my ears. Had to get all the angles right while building... but once you figure that out it goes pretty quick....The table top height is 32 inches and the bench height is 18 inches. Standard for those are 30 and 16... Taller is much better... Two inches dosent seem like much but it makes a difference.

Its all made from pressure treated 2x4's and 2x6's. The tops are pressure treaded decking...I will tell you if your going to use pressure treated wood you will need to let it dry for serveral weeks prior to the build.

After the stain dryed I also soaked it in Thompson's water seal.
