What's the shortest length handguard that will cover the gas block on a rifle-length AR15 gas system? I can choose between 12 and 15 inches. I'd rather have the 12 if it hides the gas block.

12" will cover a rifle length gas system.

Get a 15". They look better anyway.

I ordered the 15" last night. It will definitely look better on a 24" barrel.

12.5" gets it to the back of the gas block. My 14.5" just covers the whole gas block.
