[quote=HLo]Where can I get inexpensive feral cats? We use poison also but still spent about $3500 one year fixing Tractor, UTV, 4 wheeler and my Truck. We started poisoning more seriously and so far less problems but we still have had some! Ready for something better.

animal shelter - make sure you request "barn" cats - need a cage to transport. Leave in cage for a day or so at new location if you can before release so you can feed them several times. Usually if they are fed there then they will hang in that area.

You can't fix stupid

Rats are bad, Squirrels are worse. In my old house in Grand Prairie they ate through my roof and had an orgy in my attic.

They are now KOS (kill on site) enemies.

Earlier this week went to use the tractor and smelled diesel. Drove up to the house and fuel gauge dropped as I was going up there. Maybe 400yds. Stopped in the driveway and fuel was pouring out. Shut down and looked under the hood. Return line from the fuel pump was chewed in half!! Radiator overflow chewed, fan belt chewed (but not all the way through), wiring gnawed on, and I don't know what else. Will be handed over to the dealer to replace damaged components before they fail.

Talk about starting a war! I'm pretty sure it was squirrels which I have given a pass next to the house because the wife thinks they're cute. Time to give the .22 some exercise. rifle

Tree rats...cost a customer of mine some down time last week on their trencher. Momma black squirrel ate an air cooler hose and a fan belt. It was a 400 mile service call for me to come clean up nest and fix. The squirrel decided to eat thru the rubber hose to get in there instead of chewing a hole in the grille. The nest was about the size of a five gallon bucket. The squirrel also had it filled with plastic scraps and a tie down strap.
