So tall and green here it would have a huge shed for me to see or find one now. We have not been that lucky with the rain. Greening up some but could really use a "Gully Washer".

Last year we drove the fields (about 1500 acres) and the lanes through the trees. We found about 80 sheds. Low grass made shed hunting fast and productive. This year it is all foot work, so only about 40 so far. Driving around in the Ranger would put me in the same boat as KG68, you cannot see them unless you are right on them.

Nice finds, been some time since I have found one, but on small acreage, it will be all luck of the draw.

I read that if you don't find sheds and have a good population of deer you probably have a mineral deficiency and the cattle, deer and varmints are eating them for the minerals. We rarely find any on the 1500 acres we hunt. Last year we started salt and mineral links and the Deer are wearing them out. Digging deep holes to get the minerals. Hopefully it will enhance more antler growth as well.
