Guys, please keep me and my family in your prayers. After almost 16 years Bart just couldn't go anymore. I finally had to do right by him as he was at the end. Toughest thing I've ever had to do in my life. I find solace knowing he is running painfree and with his littermate sister now. I have been blessed to have shared this much time with him. I hope those of you that knew him or hunted over him know how much he enjoyed being with you and doing what he did best. Godspeed Bart...till we see each other again one day..... Prayers Up For The Family Rick! I know the Felling ALL too well. I have a 14 yr old that is getting bad. I am hating it thinking of it.

Prayer to your family Rick. 16 years is good for a lab, just makes the pain harder tho. I put a few dogs down in my time, never easy. I'm sure it is realy hard on the girls. RIP Bart.

I hate reading about folks losing great dogs but love hearing about the great dogs that had great lives in great homes, if that makes any sense at all. I'm very sorry for your loss, thoughts and prayers. Godspeed, Bart.

Thanks fellers. A friend of mine put it in perspective for me. He said "Try not to cry because it's over. Rather smile because you experienced one of life's greatest treasures."
I thought of Bart...and I smiled. Thanks for all the condolences and prayers for my family and I. He will be missed but never forgotten.
