Mine X and Y from 1-16 skips odd numbers, then a jump to 19 and up to 33 it skips equal numbers and then another 3 digits jump to 36 an so on.

I think they had to do some kind of more precise math to center on the reticle, which is why the zero adjustments changed from the older firmware to the newer one (for me, Y=25 became Y=85). I also noticed that if I set certain odd numbers for my zero, exit the menu, zoom in and out, and then come back and check the zero, the number decreased by 2. I think they are doing calculations through the zoom range and in some cases, the original number can be lost.

/MKL Makes it hard to zero in for long range but for 250 and in I believe it will be ok. Alot of my shots here in SC are 450+ in the daytime so thats were this becomes an issue for me. When zooming in and out it should change in value though.

Yeah, I figured that to be the case, which is why I made sure that I was zeroing at 3x (no zoom). I still observed my Y value changing slightly after some zooming. I'm still on the 246 beta though so maybe they fixed it in 248.

So the question is... does the X/Y value shift actually change the POI?
Or, is it possible the X/Y value display changes to maintain the POI where it's supposed to be.
Anyone test this yet through the zoom ranges?

okay, question about this new firmware.
just went out a few minutes ago and changed my zoom from center to reticle. now the reticle is still off at 5x (x=0 y=144 or vice versa, vertical line is centered from sighting in) and up about midway between center and top of screen and when I zoom to 7.5x the reticle jumps back to center.
sooooooooo, if I go and resight zero at 7.5 magnification would that leave my reticle centered at 5x? most if not all my shooting will be at 5x so I really would like a centered reticle no matter what power I set it at.

For those that think the zero skips numbers, zoom higher and change from there. It will not only not skip numbers but sometimes take two steps to change one number. Bob gave me that tip.

Mines doing the same thing, so its a pain to zero at 100, but i may have to have mine replaces. My focus has a large soft spot in it and after a few shots it going out of focus and i have to readjust

No. It will be off center at 5x no matter where you zero.

I am running .248 on my 5-18. Tonight I took it out for a lookabout, and it seems to be working fine. Then, when I tried to power it off, it would go dark, and then 3-5 seconds later, it would boot back up, starting with the ATN logo. I tried 3 different times to power it down with the Power button, but wound up having to loosen the battery compartment cap to get it to shut down. Anyone else seen this?

1st post here I own the 3x model and have been following these post since early on. The good the bad and ugly about the x-sight is what I'd call these forums . Here is a shot through the viewfinder last night. Conditions were optimal, no clouds, 1/2 moon and high in the sky. Tree is roughly 175 yrds no IR illuminator.

MGP, I'll check, but I don't believe I had sleep mode turned on. I have tested the scope/firmware a couple of times since installing .248 and did not have the problem of "auto reboot" occurring. I may have accidentally turned it on. But I'm not sure that Sleep Mode would cause the problem. . . Thanks for the idea and I'll let you know what I find. I am running .248 on my 5-18. That's a nice looking setup. I was more interested in the ring that must hold a mounting surface to the T74

thanks you. do you still have flickering as i no longer have. but lost sound I'll let you know when I pick up my new 3x. The 5x fov was too narrow for most of the distances I'll be shooting and I can easily shoot to 200 yards on 3x.
