It was too nice of a day not to grill outside again today. I grilled venison backstrap and some chicken breast.

Every time I eat grilled backstrap I say to myself "damn, I need to shoot more deer next year."

Man, your venison looks better than any of mine ever has. When you grill MBAVO, it's like you're grilling for a small army, like it!

Do you marinate, brine, or soak your straps in anything before cooking?

I like to cut the backstraps in about a 4"-6" chunk.
I then marinate them in extra virgin olive oil for at least 4 hours.
Pull em out and season with garlic, sea salt, and fresh ground black pepper.
Sear them real good over a hot fire, and try not to cook them past medium rare.
