I just used up my last can of Dupont 5066 that looked like that can but colored blue. 5066 was discontinued in the mid 60s, so I would guess it is not any more than 50 years. Wished they still made 5066, it was the cleanest pistol powderI have ever used.

No powder in it. Just curious on an age guess of the can. 1950s and early 60s can? IMR 4350 in the mid 60s and up were in a off green colored can. Can't say I have ever seen that Red colored can with Dupont on it.

No powder in it. Just curious on an age guess of the can. Pop always had a couple of cans, also know as 50 cal Ball Powder. This was his go to powder for his 300 Weatherby you could also get it in a 5 lb green military round can.

I have some Dupont cans from the 70's, and this can looks older that it.

I sold an old 2400 can recently. Not sure why I just posted that comment.
I sold a bunch of the same shaped RED cans recently that were DuPont numbers but had IMR labels. They dated to the late '70's I believe. Also there were some more in maroon and others in green. They were all from the same era.
The font says the most about the era they came from.
Pass the gravy.
