Brand New to this Forum as of today.
The one thing I like after a rain is you can see the Turkey Tracks so clearly and following them you can tell if a gobbler has been there by the dropping.

Welcome to THF JoAnne Davis! welcome

You can tell by the track if its a gobbler. Middle toe will be longer than the others, and the impression will be deeper.

Draw a line between the end of the outer toes on a turkey track, if the line intersects the third joint back from the tip it is a Gobbler track, the middle pad it is a hen. That works even on chicks that have just hatched, or adult birds. After a while a quick glance and you know the sex of the bird that made the tracks

Look at tracks and scat. If dropping forms a J or hook, it's a gobbler.

Very cool kmon1...never knew that...I can pretty much just look at a track and tell, but this would help to confirm.

Thank you Kmon1 first for the welcome and for an in depth description. Been around Turkey Hunters pretty much my whole life, I'm sure they knew that but I never had a clue, Maybe they thought I knew. I should have asked. I do know the difference in the Hen & Gobbler Droppings
