The antis are straight up idiots. Sport hunting has and will forever be the greatest and only effective conservation tool for African animals. This has been proven over and over and over again. Kenya is the prime example. Hunting closed-animals decimated. There are many other examples.

Yup^^

They need to go to Africa and see for themselves how this works. Then they can make an educated decision.

NP,

Your new sig line is hilarious!!!!! Wonder how long it will be before he gives you an even better, and more outrageous one?

Lol. Couldn't pass it up.

We gotta get the message out that hunters are the first and best conservationists. Billions and billions from taxes like Pittman-Robertson, license fees, etc. Teddy Roosevelt was the greatest conservationist who has ever lived-and an avid hunter.

The anti hunting community doesn't care what's best for the species.

So, two of the biggest anti HF antagonists on here are touting conservation... That is 90+% accomplished because of high fences. Even African high fences didn't protect oryx, addax, and damas.

I applaud y'all! But at least acknowledge the fact that without HF's this conservation effort would have failed.

rancher, I am having a hard time making the leap that you have that 90% of conservation is accomplished by HF. HF, LF doesn't really matter to me what someone hunts on, but please explain how the HF is responsible for conservation.

The HF and private landowners have saved many African species from extinction.

There are a few species of animals that their numbers are greater in TX then their native home.

Thanks BOBO, I guess I can understand that. Wouldn't they have the same success here in TX on LF?

Yes and no, if a big exotic walked past your stand...what's going to happen to it...

Also remember this a HF to an oryx or pronghorn or blk Buck, etc is a LF to a Whitetail. HF is a relative term.

Truthfully a HF(regardless of height) is only a deterant and then on top of that once you exceed that animals home range the fence is irrelevant.

Makes sense. Then also, if a LF property is large enough to exceed the home range then the same would hold true if the species were being managed there as well?

Not trying to be argumentative. I can see the justification for the HF in the context of better conservation, just maybe not the whole reason for its success.
