Just curios if anyone has used it and what's your opinions. I'm just just for a decent scope for a budget build. Let me know y'all thoughts. Thanks in advance!

What are your plans for the rifle? 40x on a rifle scopes seems like a whole lot of magnification.

You can do that at 10X-20X.

Poor glass and that much magnification and the mirage will eat your lunch.

What's your max budget?

I'd like to satay around $300. I know it's not much.

It's really just a starter scope for now so I can do some shooting.

Most of the good quality long range scope don't go past 25 power magnification. I had this scope and at 24 power it's already not as clear as 6 power. http://www.opticsplanet.com/vortex-viper-pst-6-24x50-ffp-riflescope.html

And that is on a $900 scope. I can only imagine how bad the blur is on a low quality glass scope.

And there is absolutely no need for a 40 power scope. Especially not at 600 yards.

Buy a good quality scope like vortex or leupold in a 4-12 and you will have no problem making hits at 600 yards.

On that type of budget look at getting a fixed power scope or save and get the 3-15 SWFA for around $600-700.

Another option is the falcon menace. That's the way I may end up going on my build. $300-$400 depending on which you choose. Lots of features, and the reviews on it are very positive for the price.
