I was talking with a friend about them today and he asked me what was a good price on broken horned Oryx and then on anything else that had good horns? What would be a price that a hunter would pay for a broken horn oryx or a bull/cow with good horns that he is wanting do a herd reduction on? Not around them enough anymore to know what a good price would be for me to tell him.

I'd expect broken horns to go from anywhere from $600-1,000 on average. Trophy's will run $3500+ depending on how big, and cow or bull. Big 40"+ bulls I'd expect $4500+. Of course this is just a ballpark/average. I'm sure there's some deals out there.

I was able to get one for $500 last year. Thought it a helluva price for some damn good meat.

I would think 5 to 7 hundred is a fair price for an Oryx meat hunt.

You should get a hold of Mike at Chalk Creek Exotics. That is where I took my 39" cow last year. They have a very nice herd with lots of animals to choose from. Last time I spoke with Mike they were doing a limited number of cow hunts (your choice) for $1750. I think the bulls were $2500. Great guys and a super fun hunt. I can not recommend them enough

Thanks for the feedback. The prices he was talking about are in the ranges you guys posted. He was thinking about $1000 for the broken horn and then $1500 on the good horned oryx across the board on them. I will let him know the ranges posted above.

35" plus oryx are going for 2500+ at auction. Anything less than that in a hunt is a bargain.

I would think at that price he would sell them quickly. $1500 would be a bargain.
