Want to take my 9 yr old son out turkey hunting this weekend at LBJ have never been to area was wondering do I need to worry about snakes?

I dont see a lot of snakes at LBJ,but yeah with this warm weather I'm sure they'll be out sunning themselves.

I almost stepped on a copperhead out there in 2008 and it struck my boot....worst mistake that snake ever made!

I have been out there quite a bit and have never seen a snake. I always keep my eye out though and wear tall boots.

pulled a big ol tick from under Grandsons armpit couple days ago snakes should be out too, with the warmer weather.
