Want to put weight in water keel decoys?? This was done on my teal decoys.
I used a 4" piece of 3/8" steel rod. Took a pair of pliers and opened the end of the keel then drove the rod inside.
For larger keels use larger diameter rod.

Squirt of silicon on both ends and a handful of sand works too.

I didn't like messing with caulking and waiting for it to dry. Rod can be pushed back out.
