Guy wants 700.00 for it and I have no idea if its worth it or not. There are books and online guides, but no actual retail market values. Is this a good deal??

That's kinda high. Weird thing about the Win "collectable" type rifles is that, from what I have seen, aren't that collectable! Well, aside from the John Wayne. But, they do often have nicer features and/or finishes.

Yes Winchester kinda went crazy overboard with them and way over saturated the market. Since most people don't shoot them they have little desirability either from a rarity or utility standpoint. The "Beanie Babies" of the gun world. smile

Yeah nothing better than a fine ole Abraham Lincoln model Win lever gun. They do make great shooters since most were left new in box or rarely shot. Can't find a mid-late 60s mod 94 any other way!
