I have the wheels like the guys at the gun shows, recently did an impulse buy on a Ken Onion, and a lot of different stones.
These days I generally use my oldest 2 sided stone, then follow with a steel and finish with a strop.
I used the Ken Onion once and it's OK but won't do anything that I can't do with a stone.
I prefer high carbon blades more than stainless of any kind.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
